Looking after your gates.
Automated gates provide peace-of-mind and convenience but the benefits can be compromised if maintenance is neglected. Regular servicing is vital to ensure any gate system continues to operate reliably and safely.
Every gate system is different and the demands vary from one site to another. The result should be the same in any circumstance, a safe reliable electric gate system.
Electric Gate Repairs
Automated gates are complex and on occasion will need repair to correct for general wear, accident damage or misuse. My experience allows me to fault diagnose all types of automated gate systems in an efficient and cost-effective manner. I have a broad knowledge of gates and take pride in my ability to help my customers maintain their system's and work quickly with minimal inconvenience.
Upgrades
Gates are very versatile and every installation is a combination of parts and components from multiple manufacturers that can be added to or adapted to suit your changing needs and to exploit advancements in technology.
Many well installed and maintained systems would have been in service from long before implementation of the current safety regulations put in place to prevent serious injuries caused by dangerous or poorly maintained gates. I provide a sympathetic approach to upgrading older systems to comply with modern standards
The legal bit
When installed by a professional an electric gate will be safe for all to use and will comply with regulations put in place to prevent injury. Electric gate risk assessments have become a major part in my operations and will draw on not only my experience but my professional training.
As a competent person, I am legally obliged to ensure that any powered gate system I work on is safe and complies with the appropriate regulations. Landlords, commercial property owners or managers of public facilities are also legally required to ensure automated electric gates are safe and compliant with failings being subject to criminal prosecution.
It is worth noting that private residences are also subject to the Health and Safety at Work Act if the property is a place of work for gardeners, cleaners or similar workers. To ensure that an automated gate system is safe it must be fitted with appropriate safety equipment or designed in such a way as to eliminate risk of injury and must be routinely serviced and tested to establish that the system is performing as designed and remains safe.
